A glass sculpture in the town of Murano, Italy. |
We spent our last morning in Venice on the island of Murano where they produce the wonderful glass. After visiting the Murano factory, we had a delicious lunch of fresh turbot ( a flat fish similar to a flounder) at a little restaurant along the canal. The waiter brought the whole broiled turbot to the table where he perfectly fileted it using only a large spoon and a fork. Not a bone left in the filets. It was one of the best meals we had in Italy.

Only the head, fins, and skeleton left after the waiter fileted it perfectly at the table. |
A truly delicious fish prepared to perfection.
