In honor of Pi Day, I am making two pies. One a Shepherd's pie to honor St. Patrick and one that my son Patrick likes.

And I'm making a chocolate chess pie because it is one of our favorites. Here's a recipe for the
Angus Barn chocolate chess pie.
- 1 unbaked pie crust
- 1 stick of butter
- 2 squares bakers chocolate (semi-sweet)
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Dash of salt
1. Melt butter and chocolate, mix with other ingredients, which have been blended together.
2. Pour into a pie shell and bake 35 minutes (no longer) at 350 degrees.
3. Top with whipped cream (or not).
