James and Virginia's Art Deco Collection

Art deco is an eclectic artistic style that began in Paris in the 1920s and flourished internationally throughout the 1930s, into the World War II era.  My Greensboro friend, Virginia and her late husband, James, collected art deco since the early 1960's and when I visit, I imagine I am in a museum devoted to art deco.  James was an artist, and his beautiful art throughout the house adds to the feeling of being in a museum. 


I visited Virginia the other day and used the opportunity to photograph some of the splendid collection.
