The Prissy Pig in Antigonish, Nova Scotia

Dan and I were disappointed when The Sunflower Deli closed a year or so ago, and now this year The Lobster Treat has closed.  These were two of our favorite places to eat in Antigonish on the way to Marble Mountain.  But there's a new deli I discovered that opened two years ago, The Prissy Pig, and it seems to have filled the niche of The Sunflower Deli.

Mary and I ate lunch there last week on our way to Halifax, and I liked it so much I returned this morning for breakfast on my way home from Halifax.  The outside is welcoming with flowers of various kinds, and the inside walls are adorned with interesting art work.
Pretty day lilies.

The breakfast and brunch menu is rather extensive, but the breakfast special was too enticing to pass up.  Poached eggs, bacon and sausage, home fries and toast.  It was very filling, but this served as my breakfast and lunch.  And I even brought one piece of sausage home for Maggie

My breakfast.
The restaurant is owned by Tony's meats and serves as a retail store for his meats, cheeses, and ready to cook special meals.
