Whipped cream on German chocolate pie. |
Laura and Anthony are coming for dinner tonight, and for dessert we are having German chocolate pie. And to honor National Whipped Cream Day, I will serve a dollop of whipped cream with the pie. Isn't it nice to have an excuse for whipped cream which we don't have very often? Of course I whip my own cream. None of that canned stuff for us.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation:
Whip
cream until almost stiff. Add sugar and vanilla; beat until cream holds
peaks. Spread over top of cooled pie or dollop on bread pudding,
gingerbread, cobblers, or other desserts.

Use 1 cup of heavy cream. |

Add vanilla and sugar. |

Ready. |
