Gadding About at the Biltmore House in Asheville

The outside trees lit and beautiful at dusk.
The main reason for our recent road trip to Asheville was to see the Biltmore House decorated for Christmas.  I had seen the House before, but never at Christmas.  It was quite a treat.  Follow along with me as we tour the House built in 1895 by George Vanderbilt. I believe it is the largest private dwelling in the US.
The Garden Room is where we entered, and I believe it is my favorite room.
The 35 foot live Fraser fir in the Banquet Hall is a tradition since the first Christmas at Biltmore.
One of the dining rooms.
The Library, another favorite of mine.
The shadow of the statute in the large fireplace in the Library.
I liked the canopy on the ceiling in this room.
Beautiful tilework above the fireplace in the Tapestry Room.
The candles and lanterns were being lit as we were about to depart.
I think the windows are so beautiful!
The top floors from the outside.
The outside trees reflecting in the pool out front.

It was dusk as we were leaving and the outside trees were all lit.  Beautiful.

Christmas is certainly a lovely time to visit Biltmore.
